Its modular architecture combines 8 built-in 10GbE ports with support for up to 56 additional 1GbE ports through expansion modules, making it well suited to large-scale industrial networks. The 10GbE ports substantially raise switching bandwidth and allow direct connections to 10GbE-enabled servers, so data collection and analysis can happen closer to where it's generated. Multi-port aggregation adds further backbone bandwidth on top of that, while still leaving headroom for the network to grow.

Beyond simply supporting more field devices, the MRX-G4064 Series cuts down transmission delay, so large volumes of video, voice, and data move through the network quickly even under heavy load. Redundant multi-fan cooling and redundant isolated power supplies keep the switch running through hardware faults, while support for Turbo Ring, ERPS (ITU-T G.8032), and RSTP/STP gives you multiple options for redundant network topologies — strengthening backbone reliability and uptime in IT/OT convergence environments.
